Personal Training
How do I get started?
Should I do cardiovascular exercise or weight training?
How does diet fit into my exercise routine?
What are my goals?
Does the thought of an exercise program leave you stuck with questions like these? You’re not alone! In your Personal Training program, we’ll answer these, and any other questions and concerns you might have, such as:
- I belonged to a gym before, but didn’t see any results.
- I have an injury and I can’t work out.
- It’s hard to find time to workout.
- I don’t know what to do.
Not all workouts suit every person! Guidance for Growing recognizes that each client is an individual, with individual needs, goals, body type and energy level. One-on-one time with a personal trainer to assess your specifics is the best way to find a plan that works for you and will produce the results you need in order to stick with it.
Personal training is more than physical fitness; mental fortitude is also developed, as the key to a healthy body is also a healthy mind.
What to expect
- After an initial consultation meeting, a Personal Trainer develops an exercise plan specific to the individual, taking into account ability and goals.
- The plan, usually consisting of six sessions over a three-week time period, is discussed with the client, and short-, mid- and long-term goals are made.
- Once a course of action is decided upon, the Personal Trainer and client get started!
- The exercises, along with proper techniques, are performed. During each session, the client is told what muscles are being worked and the purpose of the exercises.
- Short-term goals are accomplished with keeping an eye on mid- and long-term goals.
- Routine maintenance sessions are scheduled.
